Great experience nice cinema, comfy seats good sound. Go for VIP upgrade for great viewing with comfort. Pricey food and drink which didn't affect us because we brought our own. All the latest mainstream movies & 3D movies are shown at this state of the art chain cinema with great family deals. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean and tidy environment & toilets. Wheelchair:- accessible entrance, lifts, parking very close, toilets and seating. Assisted listening devices available. 10/10
Slow service at the counter. Pretty typical of all cinemas. Clean and litter free.

Monstersourous was an inclusive and entertaining production for its intended age range with engaging performers. Corn exchange is ideal venue, very good facilities for adults and children and ideally located. As a venue and day out I would highly recommend.
There's always something going on in the learning centre or the corn exchange itself, friendly staff, great food and in a good location.

Despite a significant journey to get there, this is probably our favorite theatre. A converted water mill , it provides an intimate theatre and an excellent restaurant for before and after meals . Productions are of a very high standard often using actors/actresses who sing, play musical instruments and dance alongside their acting. Productions change regularly both in type and company. A great place for an afternoon or evening entertainment.
I've been going to the watermill since I was a child and have always been in awe of the magical shows I have seen. Such a beautiful location provides the perfect backdrop for theatre and music - often combined so wonderfully in intimate, unique shows that allow the audience to feel they have entered another world. Recommend for children and adults alike!

Fantastic intimate local theatre, that puts on top quality shows - they should be better known.
Local artists put on amazing displays and productions are always the best. Drama groups are available from a range of ages.

After years if being told to avoid on account of the unfriendly welcome that would await you, I am pleased to say that things have definitely changed for the better at the Blackbird. Lots of positive reviews for the new landlord and chef (although I've not been to the restaurant yet) make this a hidden gem just outside of Newbury. Very convenient for a visit either before or after going to the Watermill which is just a few minutes walk away. Garden has been tidied up and there is lots of decent play equipment for children - with the garden large enough for them to not disturb you if you want so peace and quiet. There's are also tables at the front if you prefer. Good selection of beer including West Berkshire Brewery. I'd definitely recommend a visit - don't be put off by the old reviews as the Blackbird has definitely changed for the better.
Fantastic meal and wine, the best I've had in a long time. Great service from the moment we arrived. Excellent
