Cyclestreets.net is a brilliant little website for bicyclists. Just enter where you are and where you want to go and it will take you a proper cyclists route, tell you the distance, how quiet or otherwiseit will be and how many calories you will burn completing it.
This is extraordinary. You can actually choose a route to avoid unnecessary hills. Excellent for the part-time cyclist!

Had paddy service my enduro bike and bleed my brakes. He took the oppertunity to re route all my cables in the process, without asking and set up my cockpit brilliantly. Amazing first time experience with this service, will definitely go back again! Thanks very much

Had a bike fit session with Callum this week - it has fundamentally changed my performance on the bike and has already helped with my injuries. Anyone getting a new bike or getting into biking can only get the best from it with this service. Its worth every penny and Callum is brilliant. Thank you.

Banjo Cycles

In my life, I have frequented a lot of bike shops; buying, servicing, hanging out and talking triathlon. And I'd read the "so so" feedback about Banjo causing me to not check them out. However, I went in last week - a now out-of-condition late 40 something - and was instantly struck by how friendly and encouraging all the staff are. I say "all", I mainly spoke with Morgan, but all the other people walked past and either said "hi" or were interested enough to join in for a time. My current needs are complicated, getting back into cycling, but the advice was brilliant and neutral making me feel like i was the centre of the decision. I was encouraged to go away and think about my decision - on reflection, this was great advice - and I've been back today to make a purchase that was right for me (not necessarily the best for Banjo). So I wanted to spread the word, I've been to countless bike shops before (and online, shoot me now) but Banjo really care, look after their customers and live the life to the extent that they (seem to) want everyone coming in the door to live cycling as much as they do. My daughter, 10, who usually hates bike shops (despite being a keen cyclist) said, "Morgan was the nicest person we've ever met in a shop". It's hard to argue. Highly recommended.

Staff is always helpful and friendly. They are very knowledgeable and will help you for as long as you need. They have a good range of adult and children's bikes from affordable to professional ones. They also have all the kit that you might need with bike - everything from helmets, clothing, bottle holders etc

Brilliant customer service, brilliant bike, brilliant overall! Ritchie was very helpful and knowledgable. Will recommend to friends!

Bought my bike from here about 18 months ago. Since then, I always go there if I can. Very good, expert, personal service. And they seem less busy than other places, perhaps because of the location.
