Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Peasemore

Bill's Newbury Restaurant

16-18 Market Pl, Newbury RG14 5AZ, UK – 01635 528511

It can be difficult to find somewhere that has options for both my carnivorous husband and myself who doesn't eat meat, dairy or egg. Brought my husband here for his birthday breakfast and he had some delicious eggs and they kindly made me beans on toast which is not on the menu (they do have vegan options but I wanted beans on toast). The chef did he absolute best not to look horrified when he gave me my breakfast and my husband loved his. Good waitress too.

Boring early bird menu. Excellent staff, very helpful and very friendly. Early bird menu disappointing. We all had crispy duck - not much crisp !! More like mince. Then we all paid extra for steak. This was more like a thick slice of roast beef. Recommend that you do as we did and buy extra vegetables.

The Woodspeen Restaurant

Lambourn Rd, Woodspeen, Newbury RG20 8BN, UK – 01635 265070

Top end restaurant with fine dining food and setting. Atmosphere is relaxed but smart without feeling overly stuffy as some high end places tend to. Extensive wine selection to satisfy all tastes and budgets. Highly recommended.

Took my husband to the Woodspeen for his 50th birthday & was not disappointed. The staff are excellent & very welcoming, as for the food....amazing! We were lucky enough to be seated in front of the open kitchen & what a treat watching all the fantastic food being prepared & presented. Will definitely be visiting again to try the other dishes out. For a Michelin star restaurant the prices were very reasonable too.

Côte Brasserie - Newbury

102-103 Northbrook St, Newbury RG14 1AA, UK – 01635 35315

Lovely French restaurant. We managed to eat prior to 7 pm so were able to take advantage of the fixed menu. Food was delicious with good sized portions. Waiter was very attentive. Restaurant was fairly busy but not crowded which made for a nice atmosphere.

Good food, but staff can be a bit hit and miss with how grumpy they are! I recommend the crepe compete for breakfast, its very good and very authentic. Place is usually very busy so book in advance.
